Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Closer to join our team on a contract basis in Baltimore, Maryland. This position is critical in ensuring the seamless execution of mortgage loan closings and post-closing processes, while adhering to all applicable regulations and policies. The role involves coordinating with multiple parties to prepare accurate closing packages, conducting thorough reviews, and maintaining compliance standards. Responsibilities: • Prepare all required loan closing documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Coordinate settlement details with involved parties, including settlement agents, borrowers, and other stakeholders. • Analyze loan files and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable laws, and regulations. • Conduct post-closing audits and generate reports to verify the accuracy and completeness of loan packages. • Perform insuring functions for settled loans, ensuring compliance with secondary market standards. • Ship required document packages. • Utilize mortgage software systems, to manage loan closing and post-closing activities effectively. • Monitor and resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise during the closing and post-closing process. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in mortgage loan closing or related field. • Proficiency in mortgage software systems. • Strong knowledge of loan origination, processing, and post-closing procedures. • Familiarity with federal and state regulations governing mortgage loans. • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. • Ability to analyze and interpret loan documentation for compliance and accuracy. • Strong communication skills to liaise with settlement agents, borrowers, and internal teams. • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
