Monitor Tech I
Department/Unit: Cardio-Respiratory Services Work Shift: Evening (United States of America) Salary Range: $40,495.10 - $52,643.64 The Monitor Technician I have the responsibilities of recording electrocardiograms (EKGs) of customers ranging in age from newborn to geriatric, ensuring that EKGs are transmitted from cart to MUSE EKG Computer System, utilizing patient identifiers, placing telemetry transmitter packs, communication with monitor technician for verification of signal, delivering cardiac rhythm strips from the Cardiac monitoring station to the various nursing units and posting these strips in specified unit locations during periods of medical record downtime, performing miscellaneous duties related to cardiac monitoring including but not limited to troubleshooting telemetry transmitter packs (i.e., replacing worn electrodes, changing batteries, changing wires, etc.), and assisting in the search and retrieval of misplaced telemetry transmitter packs and cardiac pacemakers.
