Responsibilities

The Monitor Tech is responsible for performing and editing EKGs for both inpatients and outpatients, as well as conducting stress tests, including pharmacologic and standard protocols. 

Proficient in performance of EKGS, testing of both inpatients and outpatients.Proficient performing Stress Tests on outpatients and inpatients on pharmacologic as well as regular stress testsPerforms editing of EKGs within the department and assists with the maintenance of the MUSE system.Handling of front desk duties of scheduling and coordinating of studies as needed.Maintains and organizes his unit with supplies and equipment.Completes special projects as assigned by leadership
Qualifications
Minimum:HS diploma or equivalent combination of education and/or experienceMinimum of one year experience as cardiology technician, or experience as a monitor technician

Basic EKG class or successful completion of the Basic Rhythm test

Current American Heart Association-issued BLS card

Preferred:

Previous skills in EKG and stress test performance
