What you’ll do:

Support development and expansion of Cytiva’s proprietary Vector and RNA manufacturing platform for RNA-based vaccines and other applications. Assist in the process development, scale-up and validation of RNA synthesis in Cytiva’s proprietary cell-free systems and perform appropriate assays for DNA and mRNA characterization including functional activity assays. Lead and support small independent projects on RNA manufacturing process development activities including both upstream and downstream processes. Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), reports and technical presentations. Assist in the day-to-day management of the lab and perform other duties as assigned. 

 

Who you are:

Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or Master's program studying Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology & Biochemical EngineeringMust have strong analytical and troubleshooting capability. Must be a motivated, proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be a team player who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple tasks.

 

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Previous work experience in a related laboratory environmentExperience with techniques such as bioanalytical assays, nucleic acid and protein purification, enzyme kinetics, and gel electrophoresis is an asset. Hands on experience with maintaining cell cultures and standard tissue culture techniques is an asset.

The salary range for this role is $40000-50000 CAD / year. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
