BiologistJob Description The candidate will work in clean laboratory and growth chamber environments with plants, soil, and plant pathogens. Familiarity with sterile technique culturing fungi and bacteria in vitro are desired but not necessary. The candidate must be comfortable working in growth chambers and follow all procedures and SOPs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with multiple digital tools for accessing and recording data. Responsibilities + Prepare testing supplies and maintain inoculum cultures. + Perform planting and general plant care. + Conduct plant inoculations and disease ratings. + Ensure regular cleaning of labs and chambers. + Work independently and as part of a team. + Demonstrate self-motivation, flexibility, and reliability. + Work in environments that are dusty, warm, or required to remain clean. Essential Skills + Excellent organizational skills and work ethic. + Detail-oriented approach. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. + Comfortable with digital tools for data access and recording. + 4-6 years of experience. + Bachelor's Degree. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
