Hours: A shift - Sunday-Tuesday or Wednesday, 7am-7pm
Competitive Salary–The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between $77500 - $87000. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package.
This individual supervises employees within the Molding Department of the Toro El Paso facility to safely & efficiently produce products while meeting all quality and productivity organizational objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Recruits, selects, orients, and trains employees; develops personal growth through cross-training, goal setting, monitoring, and coachingDirectly supervises all production employeesProvide leadership by coaching, and mentoring hourly personnel to achieve quality standards, meet productivity goals, solve problems, and generate/implement continuous improvement ideasPromotes Toro’s values and ethics; responsible for creating an environment of high ethical standards, trust and respectComplies with Company and EH&S policies and procedures. Responsible for practicing, promoting, and implement all Safety guidelinesAssures efficient utilization of material and headcount resourcesControls labor and production costs according to company standardsOptimize Molding cycle times to comply with Engineering standards, documenting changes on process sheetsSkills and Knowledge
3-5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong computer skills including all Microsoft Office programsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsBroad knowledge of production planning processesAbility to track expenses and compile budget reportsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsUnderstanding of machine controls and instrumentationAble to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced settingMust be PC literate. Basic knowledge of Word Processing, Database, Spreadsheet and Software applicationsRequired Experience
High school diploma is required. Associates degree/technical school or Bachelor’s degree (BA) or equivalent from a four-year college preferred; or five (5) years of supervisory experience and five (5) in a plastics manufacturing environment, and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience with the Just-In-Time (JIT), Kanban, ISO, or other workflow concepts are preferred.The Toro Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
