Job Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sets parameters to set-up sheet for particular part. Lifts molds manually or using hoist, and positions and secures it to holding device. Verifies mold position. Connects heat and coolant services. Adjusts processes to provide continuous quality production. Trouble shoots operating difficulties. May set-up peripheral trim and finish equipment. Participates in cleaning and maintenance jobs as necessary. Observes operation and regulates mold position and action. Verifies conformance of parts to specifications. Participates in problem solving and continuous improvement activities. Other duties as assigned. Understand your responsibility for health and safety in the workplace. Cooperate with OSHA MIOSHA inspectors. Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. Follow all safety rules. Report unsafe conditions immediately. Report injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses, property damage immediately. Will not remove or make ineffective any protective device such as a guard, light curtain, etc. Will not use or operate any machine or equipment that the employee is not trained to operate. Will not use or operate any machine or equipment in a manner that may endanger any employee including themselves. Perform all duties assigned by the Manager/Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Advanced plastics applications knowledge a plus Basic tool and auxiliary equipment knowledge desired. Ability to effectively interact with employees in a team environment. Have a basic understanding of synchronous manufacturing and continuous improvement principles and methods and successfully apply them.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. One to three years injection mold setup experience ideal.
