Position Overview:
Learn to produce Fine jewelry using materials and instruction provided by Tiffany & Co. to meet company expectations.
Cut rubber molds from a master model to support lost the wax casting process. Support the Wax/Cast department with sprue designs, wax injections, and process improvements.
Responsibilities:
Work safely at all times by consistently following safe work procedures for your position, as well as well as all safety procedures required at your worksite. Promptly report all incidents and safety issues to your supervisor. Train under an experienced Mold Cutter to produce and make-production ready Natural and Silicone rubber molds using all standard mold making techniques and equipment to support the lost wax casting process. Prove out all models produced using standard wax injection equipment. Learn inspection criteria and quality standards for models, molds and resulting waxes for defects, wear, damage as well as assist with resolving waxing process problems.
Train under an experienced Waxer to produce waxes from the wax injection process using all standard techniques and equipment to support lost wax casting process.
Train under an experienced Process Engineer to learn sprue designs and understand the wax flow and metal flow through the sprues. Hand solder sprues onto wax parts as needed for complex sprue and component geometry.
Required Qualifications:
Good English communication skills necessary, including the ability to read, write and understand safety manuals, security procedures, and employment policies.
