In this position...
The Module Software Release Quality Engineer is a critical role focused on the quality and reliability of the module software release and deployment process, particularly for updates and remedies applied to vehicles in the field. This position ensures that the correct software reaches the intended targets (VINs), verifies the integrity and success of the delivery process, validates the effectiveness of deployed remedies, manages essential related data, and develops custom tools to enhance these verification activities. They serve as a key quality advocate for the software update pipeline and its impact on the end product in the field, using operational metrics to measure and drive improvements in the delivery process and field quality.
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Science or Automotive Technology preferred.
• Dealership field experience working Service Departments and Repair Technician is a plus.
• Strong desire to enhance and improve the technician’s diagnostic experience.
• Project development experience with Ford Agile/JIRA is a plus.
• Strong Program Management skills.

What you'll do...
• Interface with product engineering, MCP engineer and recall analyst to support field service actions.
• Use JIRA to document each update.
• Design, Develop, Test, Release all features that relates to software verification
• Manage and understand data, process data requests and data concerns, maintain templates.
• Interface with Software/Hardware Designer/Supplier to assure design intent of the remedy is met.
• Design and implement new tools to support automation of the vin checks for update coverage.
• Validation will be performed with both simulation tools and on vehicle validation.
