About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a full stack Engineer to join our team, with expertise in Cloud, Python/Spark and OpenShift. This role focuses on designing, deploying and managing scalable data processing solutions in a cloud-native environment.  You will work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and DevOps team to ensure robust, high-performance data pipelines and analytics platforms. 

In this role, you will:

Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impactAct as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplinesDesign, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programsReview and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factorsMake decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiativesCollaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goalsLead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentorData Pipeline Development: Design and implement large-scale data processing workflows using Apache SparkContainer Development: Design and implement docker imagesOptimization: Tune Spark jobs for performance, leveraging OpenShift's/Cloud resource management capabilitiesIntegration: Integrate spark with other data sources (e.g., Kafka, s3, cloud storage) and sinks (e.g., databases, data lakes)

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education3+ years working on Apache Spark for big data processing.2+ years of Django2+ years of Airflow development experience.2+ years of Cloud development experience. (Google Cloud preferred)

Desired Qualifications:

Proficiency in Spark frameworks (Python/PySpark)

Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes concerts (e.g., pods, deployments, services and images)

Hands on working experience on distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and data storage solutions (e.g., S3, HDFS)

Programing: Strong coding skills in Python, Airflow, Django; experience with shell scripting is a plus.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related filed.

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$111,100.00 - $217,200.00
