PharMerica is seeking a highly capable and motivated individual to join our team.  PharMerica is a non-retail pharmacy that focuses on providing exceptional customer service and meeting the pharmacy needs for hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, long-term acute care centers, and other specialized care centers nationwide. 

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mobile Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This role requires extensive travel (60-70%) to various locations to assist in pharmacy operations, medication preparation, and patient support. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently in a mobile setting.

 

Schedule: ON-SITE

Monday-Friday 9:00am-7:30 pm w/rotating weekends

 

Required License: 

California State Pharmacy Technician License

 

Pay Rate:

$24-26/HR

 

Percentage of Travel:

25-75%

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
      • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
      • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
• Reliable personal vehicle for travel.
• Ability to travel 60-70% of the time.

Responsibilities Travel to multiple locations to support pharmacy operations and medication distributionCollects information needed to fill prescriptions from customers or healthcare professionalsMeasures, mixes, and labels medications under the supervision of a pharmacistEnsures accurate prescription preparation and dispensingAssist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medicationsMaintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirementsProvide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providersProcess insurance claims and handle medication inquiriesEnsure inventory control and proper storage of medications during transitAdhere to all safety and security protocols while transporting medicationsCommunicate effectively with pharmacy teams and healthcare professionalsSupervisory Responsibility: No

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
• Pharmacy technician certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**To perform this role will require frequently sitting, standing, walking, typing on a keyboard with fingers and occasionally bending, reaching, and climbing (stairs/ladders). The physical requirements will be the ability to push/pull and lift/carry 11-20 lbs.**
