Opportunity Highlights

Pay: Competitive hourly rate (based on experience) + (paid weekly)

Schedule: First Shift (7am-3:30pm)

What will you do? Make an impact!

Tradebe is looking for a skilled Mobile Equipment Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in East Chicago. This is a great opportunity for experienced mechanics with a background in diesel-powered and mobile equipment. You'll work in an industrial setting where your mechanical expertise will directly support the safety and efficiency of plant operations.

 

Key Job Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on forklifts, backhoes, trackhoes, and other mobile equipment

Troubleshoot and repair diesel-powered mobile equipment

Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts

Ensure all maintenance activities meet safety and environmental standards

Track and manage maintenance work within budget guidelines

Support compliance with the plant's preventive maintenance program

Follow all company and regulatory safety protocols

Take on additional tasks as needed to support operations

Do you have what it takes? High school diploma or equivalent

Experience working in an industrial environment

Proven ability to maintain and operate forklifts, backhoes, and similar equipment

Strong understanding of diesel engine systems and mobile equipment maintenance

Valid driver’s license

Your own tools for the job

Preferred: 5–7 years of experience in industrial settings and with heavy equipment

Bonus: Experience working on semi-trucks
