Job Summary:
Under general supervision, safely and responsibly drives the MAS Region Mobile Health Vehicle to and from its home location to a wide variety of locations throughout the Region. Assumes responsibility for monitoring and ensuring maintenance, service and fuel needs are met of the vehicle. Performs proper set-up and breakdown of vehicle to service patients. Provides general reception of members and non-members, to include checking participants in to events, assisting the wheelchair bound, and managing participant flow. Adheres to KP Fleet Management and Driving Fleet Vehicles Policy: NATL.EES.BP.003.
Essential Responsibilities:
+ Primary driver of 45 foot health vehicle. Vehicle pick up, delivery to site and shut down, including operation and shut down of onboard generator, septic and power, any and all electronic equipment, such as computer, printer etc.., returning vehicle to designated facility and returns vehicle to designated facility at end of event.
+ Ensures proper/timely scheduled maintenance of vehicle, including maintenance tracking.
+ Monitors vehicle fuel consumption and purchases fuel for the vehicle using assigned fuel card and PIN.
+ Maintains and checks vehicle equipment for malfunction and/or damage.
+ Assists with initial problem identification and solutions under the direction of a higher level resource.
+ Is responsible for inventory of RV includes electronic assets, equipment, supplies and other items associated with the RV.
+ Performs fundamental IT trouble shooting.
+ Operates wheelchair lift.
+ Greets participants and Interacts with members/patients to check in members and non-members (KMAT pre-enrollment).
+ Monitors the workflow as each new arrival is checked in. This includes: sign-in sheet, vaccine information sheets, privacy documentation and immunization.
+ Provides excellent customer service - participants, providers, staff.
+ Works closely with clinical staff.
+ Exhibits strong interpersonal skills.
+ Answers and returns telephone calls and messages.
+ Orders, stocks and supplies medical office materials - some lifting required, up to 75 lbs.
+ Cleans and organizes vehicle (in-between scheduled EVS).
+ Coordinates waste disposal of tanks and filling of water tanks.
+ Travels within MAS service area to include DC, Virginia, Southern Maryland and Baltimore, to include overnight stays.
+ Performs pre-site visits to determine suitability for Mobile Van and safe routing (with regard to low clearance bridges and overpasses).
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Adherence to KP Fleet Management and Driving Fleet Vehicles Policy: NATL.EES.BP.003.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience
+ Minimum one (1) year of recent experience in a customer service.
+ Minimum one (1) years CDL Class B driving experience.
+ Per the National Agreement, current KP Coalition employees have this experience requirement waived.
Education
+ High School Diploma OR General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
+ Class B CDL with Air Brake Endorsement (in the state where care is provided)
Additional Requirements:
+ Excellent driving record.
+ Medical clearance as required by the Department of Transportation.
+ Knowledge of computer software applications required.
+ Basic CPR certification.
+ Starting and end times may vary. This person will be working with the Mobile Health Vehicle team and will require routine travel to employer sites and community locations throughout region. May include work on weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Medical terminology Bilingual, English and Spanish.
+ Basic knowledge of computer hardware.
+ CPR.
+ Must have CDL license with 3 years of driving experience.
