We are currently seeking a dedicatedMobile Equipment Operator 2to play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the infrastructure of our district.
The Louisiana Special School District (LSSD) is an education service agency who provides services to the Louisiana Special Schools (Louisiana School for the Deaf, Louisiana School for the Visually Impaired and Special School Programs). The schools provide educational opportunities to students with low-incidence disabilities and a variety of unique needs.
Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience in mobile equipment operations.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ Operation of one or more of the types of equipment enumerated must be the primary, regular, and recurring function of the job.
+ Maintains vehicle records of trips made (mileage, oil and gas consumption, etc.).
+ Operates field tractors with power ratings over 52 horsepower; tractors may be equipped with attachments such as bush hogs, belly attachments, blades, hoes, loaders, etc.
+ Operates cargo vans and/or stake body or flatbed trucks with ratings over 4 tons, other than tractor-trailers.
+ Operates winch trucks, A frame trucks, aerial back lift trucks, pole trucks, and/or trailer.
+ Makes minor repairs to equipment and performs user maintenance necessary to keep equipment in clean, good working order.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational or Promotional
Work Schedule : Typically, work hours are 8:00 am-4:30 pm Monday - Friday. Flexible work schedules may be available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position for which you are applying.
