Responsibilities

Position Purpose: We are looking for an Engineering Manager with experience building Client Facing mobile application across IOS and Android. The role will encompass architecture and development across all tiers of the application stack.

 

You will be part of a talented engineer team that work on low-latency mission-critical applications. Roles and responsibilities include application architecture and development across full software development lifecycle, collaborating with like-minded engineers. Managing and technically leading team of highly skilled software engineers, forging relationships with key stakeholders across diverse user base.

 

Primary duties will include: 

Build relationships with key stakeholders to drive product developmentLead team(s) of software engineers providing architectural and technical directionContribute across all phases of the development lifecycle working within Agile methodologySupport continuous improvements by investigating leading edge technologies and presenting these for architectural review Qualifications

To land this role you will need:

Minimum 7 years’ experience in mobile app developmentProven experience building and leading technical teams, providing direction and guidance, working with global teamsStrong experience in architecture and development of Android/iOS applications and have deployed on Google Play/App StoreStrong knowledge with JavaScript & TypeScript, virtual DOM, asynchronous programmingUnderstanding and experience in ES6, ES10, JSXExperience working with popular libraries for networking, asynchronous, image loading, etc.In-depth knowledge with React Native framework, patterns for code reuse, state management libraries, routing architectureExperience optimizing app performance, manage memory, and reduce load timesExperience with TDD/BDD, testing framework (Jest/React-testing-library/JUnit)Some experience developing distributed systems using Microservice architecture (event-based)Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS)Exposure with distributed messaging / streaming platforms (Apache Kafka ideal)Experience with Relational and No-SQL databasesFluent English

Education:

BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
