servicesJob SummaryThis position provides night shift coverage and response to calls coming through the crisis hotlineJob ResponsibilitiesObtains and ensures accurate completion of paperwork related to the call including but not limited to crisis assessment documentation releases of information demographics information and DHMAS required data Department of Drug Alcohol Programs DDaP forms by am the day following the callProvide telephone triage for behavioral health crisis calls during the on call hoursAlong with the on call Mental Health Counselor responds to requests for behavioral health assessments in community locations typically within minutes of the request for services to providing behavioral health interventions and de escalation to individuals aged and families in crisis Assessments should include mental status exam diagnostic consistent with DSM clinical formulation disposition and any other relevant clinical informationCoordinate with on call mental health worker to share relevant information for any mobile calls and to co respond to the callProvide initial crisis intervention services to individuals in need along with crisis case management and short term crisis counseling as a follow up from initial intervention when appropriateProvide documentation to clinical manager or oncoming clinician the day following the callPerform other related duties as populationPrevious experience in assessment and diagnosis and individualgroup therapy and crisis interventionValid Driverrsquos LicenseActive CT License in Social Work Professional Counseling or Marital Family TherapyObtain certification through DMHAS to complete emergency certificates within months of hire or first training opportunity offered by DMHASAs a Hartford HealthCare entity Rushford
