**All Job Postings will close at 12:01 a.m. CT on the specified Closing Date (if designated).** **Working Title:** MnSCU Academic Professional 2 - International Enrollment Advisor **Institution:** Minneapolis Community and Technical College **Classification Title:** MnSCU Academic Professional 2 **Bargaining Unit / Union:** 214: Minnesota Association of Professional Employees **City:** Minneapolis **FLSA:** Non Job Exempt **Full Time / Part Time:** Full time **Employment Condition:** Unclassified - Unlimited Academic **Salary Range:** $25.29 - $36.71 **Job Description** This position coordinates and manages International Student Services at Minneapolis College as the Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) for the College's participation in the U.S. government's Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP), executing all functions necessary to facilitate recruitment, enrollment, retention, graduation and transfer of International Students. This position ensures all international students meet and maintain eligibility and compliance with the policies of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and submit required documentation and reports to keeping Minneapolis College in good standing with related state and federal agencies. **Principle Responsibilities** + Manage and coordinate the recruitment of international students and direct all aspects of theadmissions, enrollment process, and retention for international students in compliance with Homeland Security Regulations and SEVIS. + Impact enrollment by providing high quality enrollment advising and relationship-building to ensure prospects/applicants/admitted students feel welcomed and are prepared to begin and persist in their first term. + Represent Minneapolis College with groups focused on international student recruitment, admissions, and advising (i.e., MN Study Abroad, MN International Educators, Minnesota State Working Group) + Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner. **Salary Range:** $25.29 - $36.71 per hour **Minimum Qualifications** + One year of professional work experience or a combination of professional work experience and education in a related field such as higher education, advising, counseling, admissions outreach or other related student serving experience. + Training and/or experience in providing support services to individuals from traditionally underserved groups. + Human relations/customer service skills sufficient to actively listen to and understand students’ needs and provide accurate information and appropriate alternatives, meet quality of service needs, and evaluate student satisfaction. + Demonstrates an ongoing understanding of cultural fluency. Incorporates culturally responsive practices and actively engages in antiracism professional development learning opportunities. + Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident in order to be a PDSO for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) or ARO for the U.S. Department of State (DOS). **Preferred Qualification** + Bachelor's Degree in related field. + Experience making speeches and presentations. + Ability to work as part of a team and work independently. + Knowledge of Minneapolis College policy, procedures, programs, curriculum, services and resources. **Other Requirements** Current and former employees must be in good standing with Minneapolis College to be considered for the position. **Work Shift (Hours / Days of work)** Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m to 5:00 p.m. **Telework (Yes/No)** One telework day per week, to be mutually agreed upon by the employee and supervisor. **About** Minneapolis College offers extraordinary educational opportunity to 10,000 students annually with 100 plus degree options.
