About the Role
You will be directly responsible for renewals and upsell opportunities within existing customer base. You will be charged with identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities selling MLex services to investment companies to meet and exceed your revenue goals. As an advocate for MLex you will build strong internal networks with both commercial and editorial colleagues and maintain a close understanding of our editorial output and its relevance to your prospects. You will need to be highly confident, articulate and driven to succeed in a fast-paced environment. This position focusing on Financial Markets is a specific role dedicated to exploiting the interest of investment companies in MLex content concentrating on market-moving developments, investment opportunities, risk exposure, and M&A arbitrage.
Responsibilities
Growing pipeline through active account management and executing a strategic account plan with the client
Managing complete sales cycle from opportunity identification through close
Creating targeted, solution-oriented proposals with appropriate positioning and pricing for software and services
Developing and tracking pipeline within assigned accounts utilizing CRM and reporting weekly forecast and opportunity progression
Working with clients and internal partners through issue resolution to drive customer satisfaction
Representing product portfolio through speaking engagements, industry events and trade shows
Requirements
Have a Bachelor's degree
Have a technical aptitude with computer skills including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, CRM applications
Have excellent organizational and time management skills
Demonstrate an ability to work in a team selling environment
Display functional knowledge of negotiation process
Have a solid understanding of solution selling value proposition
Have solid interpersonal and presentation skills to partner and collaborate across teams
Display proven experience generating new business sales

Position is eligible for base salary plus commission plan.
The base salary provided in this posting is $65,365
