**Description**
Tyto Athene is searching for a **Mission Technology Strategist** to support our growing CTO team.
**Responsibilities:**
+ The primary focus areas of the Mission Technology Strategist are to drive alignment of Tyto’s innovation portfolio to meet key priorities of current and emerging technology priorities, to provide ‘voice of customer’ insights for Tyto’s key pursuits and to perform a liaison role with major programs and business units to unearth, scope and champion opportunities for collaborative innovation thereby building compelling past performance for introducing innovative concepts, solutions and methods.
+ The Mission Technology Strategist is a key member of the Tyto CTO team and offers their deep federal/defense IT practitioner experience to provide compelling ‘voice of customer’ perspectives that allows Tyto to better assign its technology investments to meet customer needs. The successful candidate maintains their network, attends technology meet ups and events and stays current in understanding federal and defense technology priorities. The Mission Technology Strategist supports Tyto technologists and marketing leaders in articulating their messaging, value statements for Tyto’s key ‘sell-to’ personas. The Mission Technology Strategist may participate in customer technical briefings as constraints allow.
+ The Mission Technology Strategist supports major Tyto captures by participating in major strategy sessions, win sessions, black hat sessions, ‘why Tyto’ sessions. In these collaborations, the Mission Technology Strategist offers their knowledge of the customer, their decision makers, their known preferences (contractors, vehicles, technologies), their technology modernization strategies as input and provides critical feedback on Tyto’s win/solution/partnering/approach strategies and concepts primarily based on their perspective of customer preferences. In some instances, the Mission Technology Strategist may be asked to participate in Tyto’s acquisition process by participating as a ‘Key Person’ on Tyto’s bid program team. Tyto’s intention is to minimize the participation of the Mission Technology Strategist to the role of a part time strategic consultant, with minimal onsite delivery responsibilities.
+ The Mission Technology Strategist will also provide a liaison role between the CTO organization and the business units to actively ideate innovative concepts, solutions, methods relevant to each business unit’s growth plans and delivery priorities. The Mission Technology Strategist builds relationships with the Group Presidents and their directors and establishes an impactful means by which they and the Groups build a portfolio of innovative ideas for consideration by the Tyto Innovation Program product leadership team. The Mission Technology Strategist assists the program teams in best aligning ideas that are most relevant to Tyto’s key customers near and mid-term needs and to where government technology trends are moving towards. The Mission Technology Strategist assists the Tyto Innovation Program leadership prioritize ideas based on their perspective on customer demand. The Mission Technology Strategist may also play a consulting role for major programs by chairing or co-chairing program specific Innovation Councils. The Innovation Council chair role is primarily to advocate for the customer, help steer innovation discussions, select the most impactful innovations while also considering Tyto’s overall innovation priorities, and providing updates on ongoing projects and overall Tyto Innovation Program progress.
**Qualifications**
**Required:**
+ Over 10 years in delivery leadership roles working for federal/defense organizations in setting strategy, operating technology programs, driving major technology modernization programs and interacting with federal systems integrators
+ Preferably recent experience as a Chief Warrant Officer or equivalent supporting major Department of Defense organizations

**Compensation:**
+ Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $155-$175K. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
