The Parlin Site is looking for a dynamic engineer to lead our MIQA and Reliability Program. This individual will be responsible for providing focus on the MI & QA Elements of the site Process Safety Management (PSM) program. This role provides leadership and technical expertise to ensure compliance with the Mechanical Integrity and Quality Assurance requirements of DuPont Process Safety Management standards, and statutory / regulatory requirements, in a way that decreases risk of PSM Incidents or regulatory non-compliance resulting from MI or QA deficiencies.
This individual will function as a technical resource that will drive process safety and reliability following RAGAGEP’s. This individual is expected to have a sound knowledge and the ability to apply engineering principles and tools to identify and prioritize bad actors.
Key responsibilities:
· Ensure that formal systems and structures at the Site or the Unit are aligned with MIQA expectations and requirements
· Ensure integration of MIQA Requirements into the CMMS tool and processes.
· Owns the Site MIQA Manual, and trains applicable resources in its use when required.
· Manages and coordinates activities of the Site MIQA Heat Map and Action Plan, when applicable, to address any identified gaps or improvement opportunities.
· Tracks and reviews metrics regarding Site/Unit performance of the MIQA elements, reporting periodically the performance within the defined Unit/Site/Business/Corporate structure.
· Ensures MIQA subject matter experts are engaged in the following: incident investigation (process safety events, environmental events, fire Incident events), PHA, Pre-Start up Safety Reviews (PSSR) and MOC-T changes
· Ensures that the Site project management system meets the QA and MI requirements of S21A
· Ensure that the test and inspection plans, as well as the repair and changes, are implemented following the MI program, and comply with applicable statutory & regulatory requirements and RAGAGEPs.
· Actively participates as a member of the Site PSM Committee, leading the MI and/or QA elements
· Interfaces with Multiple Business(es) and other functions to develop and manage key actions to sustaining the site Mechanical Integrity
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements Required:
· B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field
· Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
· Solid written and oral communication skills
· Ability to work as a team member in a respectful manner in a diverse work environment
· Experience working with Microsoft® Office (particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Preferred Skills:
· 5 years or more experience in a chemical/manufacturing plant (or related industry) with a focus on MIQA, reliability, or PSM, preferably in a pharmaceutical or food manufacturing environment
· Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to consistently solve problems in a decisive and efficient manner
· Understands MIQA policy requirements for Process Safety Management (S21A), statutory & regulatory requirements as applicable, and Recognized And Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP)
· Understands the Maintenance Work Management Process (WMP) and its impact upon MIQA
· Understanding of risk assessment and mitigation tools
