We are seeking a **Minor Team Leader** to join our dynamic team at the **Pontchartrain Works** site in **LaPlace, LA** .
The **Minor Team Leader** is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of a small team within the engineering, maintenance, and operations department. This role involves ensuring that team members are working efficiently, meeting production targets, and adhering to safety and quality standards. The Team Leader must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
**Your Key Responsibilities:**
+ Leads the project support teams to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
+ Ensure that all team members are following safety protocols and maintaining a safe working environment.
+ Monitor team performance and provide guidance, training, and support as needed.
+ Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
+ Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates.
+ Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts within the team promptly.
+ Maintain accurate records of team activities, including attendance, performance metrics, and production data.
+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance and efficiency.
+ Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
+ Provide feedback to management on team performance and any areas for improvement.
**Qualifications:**
+ A minimum of a High School diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required.
+ A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role is preferred.
+ Strong leadership and team management skills.
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel, and ability to learn new systems quickly.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
+ Experience with EcoSys Capital Software
+ Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to elements such as noise, dust, heat, cold, and chemicals.
+ Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, safety shoes, and respirator as required.
+ This role may require less than 5% travel.
