*Reporting to the Manager, Technical Services, you will be part of the Technical Services Department. You will lead and manage the resource estimation and geological modelling functions for the Detour Lake Mine. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of mineral resource estimates and supports strategic mine planning and decision-making. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Lead the development, validation, and maintenance of open-pit and underground 3D geological and resource models using industry-standard software (e.g., Leapfrog, Datamine, Vulcan); Oversee and ensure the accuracy of mineral resource estimations in accordance with NI 43-101 or other relevant reporting standards; Collaborate with open pit and underground teams in exploration, mine geology, engineering and environment to integrate geological data into mineral resource and mineral reserve models; Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of geologists and modellers; Conduct regular audits and reviews of resource models and estimation methodologies; Prepare and present technical reports, resource statements, and updates to senior management and external stakeholders; Support strategic planning, life-of-mine planning, and economic evaluations through robust resource modelling; Ensure compliance with corporate governance, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices; Perform calibration and support the reconciliation between mineral resource models and actual production to identify variances and improve model accuracy. *Reporting to the Manager, Technical Services, you will be part of the Technical Services Department.
