General Statement

Duties and Responsibilities
Directly assist Associate Director, Team Leads and Staff leading MilTech initiatives by supporting the development and management of funded project work.
Activities to support this include, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Collaborate with the Associate Director to identify and secure project opportunities related to the array of MilTech initiatives.
+ Work collaboratively with MilTech associate director and Team Leads and staff to develop strategies and plans to identify project work and potential customers.
+ Engage with potential customers to promote and secure project work in alignment with MilTech capabilities and initiatives.
+ When necessary, remain engaged with customers and MilTech delivery staff to ensure timely and effective delivery of solutions.
+ Represent MilTech at conferences and other forums where MilTech contributions to technology development and technology scouting may contribute to increasing service capabilities.
+ Assist MilTech in adding more technology transfer and transition value to the services programs.
+ Effectively communicate MilTech position, capabilities, and results of completed projects with respective Military branches Senior Staff, General Officers, Enlisted Staff, civilians and Programs.
+ Provide MilTech with knowledge about the military services, military operations, budgeting procedures, structure and equipment relevant to technology transition, transfer, scouting, and design reviews being undertaken by MilTech.
+ Assist MilTech in preparing communication materials relevant to the services program requirements and plans.
+ Travel as needed for program support. Monthly onsite meetings with SOCOM customers at Ft Bragg (Fayetteville, NC) and nearby are required, as well as any participation in any other ad hoc meetings as needed.
+ Be available to travel, including on short notice as needed, to support activities at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune (Jacksonville, NC).
+ Comply at all times with the MilTech Confidentiality Agreement governing non-disclosure of information encountered in the course of your duties, and the MilTech Technology Control Plan governing security and work controls.
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
+ Demonstrated understanding and experience working with planning and current processes within DOD and Government programs.
+ Demonstrated ability to accurately understand and translate MilTech capabilities into strategies for developing enduring partnership relationships with DOD and Government programs.
+ Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with strategic level stakeholder groups including senior leadership, government customer liaisons, and support teams, to execute overarching strategies that support enduring customer relationship initiatives.
+ Must be located within 3 hours drive by car of both Fort Bragg and Camp Lejeune to regularly attend onsite meetings and events.

+ Demonstrated experience with Montana State University and MilTech capabilities, processes and tools.
+ Military experience, and/or extensive familiarity with military protocols, processes, and terminology.

+ Understand and maintain effective working relationships with MilTech Military Liaisons and abide by established processes when engaging directly with customers, providing recommendations for alternative processes if appropriate.
+ Work collaboratively and effectively with all MilTech Team Leads and staff leading MilTech initiatives.
+ Be highly detail-oriented and organized, and rapidly learn and accurately incorporate relevant MilTech and MSU policies and procedures into all work efforts.
+ Be a self-starter able to work independently to identify, plan, organize, manage and execute projects and tasks, actively seeking out information to enhance understanding of MilTech projects and initiatives.
+ Quickly identify problems and formulate possible solutions, exhibiting good judgment, flexibility and innovation to respond to the needs of a wide variety of clients.
Position Special Requirements/Additional Information
This position is contingent upon continued grant funding, and is based within 3 hours of both Fort Bragg and Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, by car.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD National Security Clearance and Common Access Card ( CAC ), and/or meet other government-defined restrictions appropriate for work level and access. Other security-related requirements will include receiving favorable background checks by state and federal agencies pursuant to federal law and regulations.
Successful candidate must be able to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws, which may require proof that candidate is a U.S. person. Per 22 CFR §120.15, U.S. person means a person who is a lawful permanent resident as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
This position requires ability to travel via all modes of transport when necessary to interact with DOD and/or DHS customers, including travel throughout the Continental United States as well as Alaska, Hawaii, U.S territories and possessions, and possibly other worldwide locations.
