The Mill Supervisor reports to the Business Unit Manager. This position is responsible for leading the Milling Department on their specified shift. The primary responsibility is to ensure milling operations meet or exceed the department/plant metrics for safety, quality, production, cost, delivery, sustainability, morale and more. This position requires a strong understanding of how the milling process works.
How you will Contribute:
The Mill supervisor is expected to effectively communicate & collaborate with all salaried and hourly associates. The Mill Supervisor is responsible for all milling processes on their specified shift. This candidate will provide support to all hourly Mill employees, maintain Mill run schedule and sanitation tasks. Candidate will possess a good mechanical aptitude, use logical reasoning to identify and resolve running and potential issues with a continuous improvement mindset. Knowledge of milling flows, equipment abilities and adjustments. The candidate must thoroughly understand all plant safety rules and set expectations to assure the employees understand and are following the rules to work safely. The Mill Supervisor must thoroughly understand all plant Quality/Good Manufacturing Practices and set expectations to assure the employees understand and are following these practices to assure food safety and the highest product quality possible. With Safety and Quality as the prime drivers, the Mill Supervisor is responsible for optimum milling operations that meet or exceed the milling KPIs to achieve the highest level of operational efficiency.

Understanding of milling and wheat cleaning systems and equipmentUnderstanding of wheat and flour storage and pneumatic conveyingEnsures compliance with all regulations and procedures for safety, GMPs, and food safetyWorks directly with employees to efficiently execute milling operations and objectivesUnderstands production lines from end-to-end and performance successPartners with Maintenance team to drive the manufacturing strategies within the Milling departmentPartners with Plant Leadership to drive milling initiatives to successful conclusionsLeads Milling Department to drive preventative and autonomous maintenance solutions and provide proper training of the hourly employeesCreate the environment for root cause analysis to work toward sustainable solutionsSupport training for designated shift in departmentEngagement in all aspects of the milling operation to ensure yield and throughput goals are metAssist in the operation and troubleshooting of all milling department operationsEvaluate and optimize milling process performanceLooks for and implements changes in the operation to enhance efficiencies, yield, and throughput and promotes continuous improvementProvides continued training and development of all milling staff on designated shiftMaintains a positive departmental moraleInform Management Team of any problems that could affect plant production, product quality, yields, or unnecessary downtimeManages the housekeeping to ensure a clean and sanitary mill departmentSupports fellow Management Team members with issues that ariseEnsure GMP practices are followed and adhered toPerform all other duties or tasks as assignedEducation / Certifications:
High School Diploma or GEDBachelor´s degree (preferred)Job Specific Requirements:
At least 3 years of Milling experienceAt least 2 years of Manufacturing experiencePeople management experienceMicrosoft Office experienceSafety experienceProblem solving skillsKnowledge of working in a Union environment (preferred)Demonstrated leadership and change management skillsMust have excellent verbal and written communication skillsWork Schedule:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $73,900.00 - $92,400.00; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. The salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results. In addition, Mondelēz International Company offers a variety of benefits to eligible employees, including health insurance coverage, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education-related programs, paid holidays and vacation time, and many others.
