SNC's Military Fellowship Program partners with programs such as SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes to provide fellowship opportunities to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These fellowships include up to six months of on-the-job industry training for eligible service members. During this time, participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks as they prepare for their transition to full-time civilian work.

NOTE: You must be currently serving on active duty to be eligible for this fellowship program. This program is not for veterans who have already separated from the military.

Currently serving as active duty military and be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge programHigh School Diploma or GED Equivalent and typically 5 or more years of relevant experienceHigher education may substitute for relevant experienceRelevant experience may be considered in lieu of required educationProficient ability to understand and interpret technical schematics and documentsIn-depth understanding of electrical wiring conceptsExtensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe ProductsAn active Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Preferred:

Knowledge and ability to interpret geometric dimensioning and toleranceExperience drafting work instructions and SOP'sExperience with Network+, Security+, CCNA and/or A+Experience with FCC or FCC GROLBasic understanding of Spectrometer, Oscilloscope and/or other measuring equipmentWorking knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS 9100 standardsBackground in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

This position requires current/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
