Rectico – MES Technologies Company Job Title: Military and Commercial Packager/Crater Lead Pay Range: $25.00-$32.00 /hr Position Overview The Military Packager/Crater is responsible for preparing, preserving, and packaging military equipment, supplies, and materials for shipment. This role ensures compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) regulations and standards, including but not limited to MIL-STD-2073 and MIL-STD-129, to safeguard items against environmental and physical damage. In addition, this position entails supervisory responsibilities. Key Responsibilities • Receive and understand packaging requirements from technical drawings, specifications, and military and commercial requirements • Apply preservation techniques as directed, including cleaning, drying, special ESD containers, etc. • Construct and assemble containers using hand and power tools, e.g. board cutting machine, etc. • Package hazardous and sensitive materials in accordance with DoD and federal regulations • Label and mark packages per MIL-STD-129, RFID, and other standards per requirements • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment • Maintain accurate records of packaging activities and inspections • Collaborate with other team members to ensure compliance and readiness Supervisor Responsibilities • Support and coordinate with the General Manager in ensuring work orders are assigned and performed effectively and efficiently. • Supervise and assist the packaging team to ensure all packaging / crating requirements are met and shipped accordingly. • Perform other supervisory duties as requested. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent • 1–3 years of experience in packaging, warehousing, or military logistics • Familiarity with military packaging standards and documentation a plus • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings • Basic mechanical skills • Basic carpentry skills are a plus • Forklift certification preferred Work Environment • Warehouse or depot setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels • Requires standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and repetitive motion • Use of PPE including safety glasses, gloves, etc
