**Job Title: Welder** **Job Description** This position requires proficiency in MIG welding and the ability to multitask between welding and other fabrication tasks. The welder will work from engineering drawings and Bills of Materials to fabricate and weld components. Responsibilities include adjusting the welder for varying thicknesses of steel and operating various tools and devices. **Responsibilities** + Perform MIG welding tasks as required. + Switch between welding and other fabrication tasks as needed. + Interpret engineering drawings and Bills of Materials to fabricate components. + Adjust welding equipment to accommodate different steel thicknesses. + Operate welder, grinder, drill, and various hand/power tools. + Use measuring devices to ensure precision in welding. + Operate overhead crane and forklift, if certified. + Perform basic welds in the Panel Welding department. + Conduct vertical, horizontal, and overhead welding in the Tank Welding department. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in MIG welding. + Ability to read blueprints. + Fabrication skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + D1-1 certification is required for Tank Welders. + D1-3 certification is considered a bonus. **Why Work Here** Join a family-owned company with a strong growth outlook and orders booked through 2027. Tank Welders are part of the North Tank facility, working in two shifts: 1st Shift from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM and 3rd Shift from 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Machesney Park, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.45/hr.
