MIG / Spot Welder - 3rd Shift

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for visual inspection (and repairs if needed) of all welds and weld quality.  Perform minor repairs/adjustments to MIG welders.Maintain integrity of weld quality to ensure finished product meets BGM standards.Maintain proper documentation of scrap and rework product.Follow Standard Operating Procedures established for each workstation to meet required cycle times and quality standards.Flexible to work overtime.Maintain integrity of quality to ensure finished product meets BGM standards, to include the changing of weld tips, wire spools, and cleaning of nozzles to ensure efficiency of weld robots.Maintain proper documentation of production.Support your assigned area and/or any area in the plant that requires support as directed by your leader.Utilize the systems in place to promote continuous improvement.Communicate openly with your leaders to escalate issues concerning Safety, Quality, and Production.Must be able to pass the Weld Proficiency Test.Ability to do heavy lifting (maximum of 58 pounds) on occasion. Ability to stand and move about on concrete 8-12 hours a day. Ability to maneuver large parts and assemblies (up to 58 pounds) by pushing, pulling, and flipping them into place. 


Education and/or Experience:

High School diploma or GEDPost-secondary education preferred, or related experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferredMust be able to pass and maintain welding proficiencyMust be able to detect and repair (within cycle times) all weld defects within your zoneUnderstanding of weld terminology
