NTT Data Greece team is looking for a Middleware Specialist in Athens to work with our clients in the European public sector.

You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of middleware technologies that support enterprise applications and services. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Your role:

Install, configure, and maintain middleware platforms (e.g., WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Apache Tomcat, IBM MQ, etc.).Monitor middleware performance and ensure high availability and reliability.Troubleshoot and resolve middleware-related issues in a timely manner.Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application deployments.Implement and maintain security standards and access controls.Automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency through scripting and tools.Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.Participate in on-call support and incident response as needed.

Your profile:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.5+ years of experience in middleware administration or support.Hands-on experience with one or more middleware platforms (e.g., WebLogic, JBoss, Apache Kafka, IBM MQ).Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and scripting (Shell, Python, etc.).Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.Understanding of networking, firewalls, and load balancing.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Fluency in English (B2 level minimum); knowledge of another European language is a plus.You must be eligible for EU Security Clearance (at least 5 years of EU nationality in required).

Nice to have:

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).Knowledge of ITIL practices and service management tools.Middleware certification(s) (e.g., Oracle WebLogic, Red Hat JBoss).
