**NTT Data Greece** team is looking for a **Middleware Specialist** in Athens to work with our clients in the **European public sector** .
You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of middleware technologies that support enterprise applications and services. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
**Your role:**
+ Install, configure, and maintain middleware platforms (e.g., WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Apache Tomcat, IBM MQ, etc.).
+ Monitor middleware performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve middleware-related issues in a timely manner.
+ Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application deployments.
+ Implement and maintain security standards and access controls.
+ Automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency through scripting and tools.
+ Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
+ Participate in on-call support and incident response as needed.

**Your profile:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
+ 5+ years of experience in middleware administration or support.
+ Hands-on experience with one or more middleware platforms (e.g., WebLogic, JBoss, Apache Kafka, IBM MQ).
+ Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and scripting (Shell, Python, etc.).
+ Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
+ Understanding of networking, firewalls, and load balancing.
+ Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
+ Fluency in English (B2 level minimum); knowledge of another European language is a plus.
+ EU citizenship is required.
**Nice to have:**
+ Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
+ Knowledge of ITIL practices and service management tools.
+ Middleware certification(s) (e.g., Oracle WebLogic, Red Hat JBoss).
*This role may require flexibility, including shift-based work and on-call responsibilities, depending on operational needs.
*The service window for this project is between 9am-10pm, the exact daily shifts will be confirmed later in the process.
