**Description**
**Position Summary:**
We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented **mid-level** **MQ Administrator** to join our team in **Ashburn, VA** to begin an exciting and challenging career.
**Job Responsibilities:**
+ IBM MQ queue manager administration, trouble shooting, configuration and on call support as needed.
+ Installation, configuration, and administration of IBM MQ queue managers on distributed platform.
+ You will provide on call support as needed to diagnose and rectify issue related to queue managers.
+ You will also be responsible for clearly document requirements, design, and operation procedures for queue managers.
+ Need experience with ActiveMQ Classic/Artemis with administration, trouble shooting, configuration etc.(A Plus)
**Qualifications**
**Required Skills and Experience:**
+ BS Degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc) with 5+ years of technical experience.
+ Strong foundation of MQ knowledge.
+ Must have expert knowledge of IBM MQ on distributed platforms.
+ Must have skills in diagnosing issues related to IBM MQ queue managers.
+ Strong background with Apache ActiveMQ.
+ Must have good knowledge of UNIX operating system and scripting languages (bash/korn shell, expect).
+ Knowledge of Java and JMS and REST interface is preferred.
**Customer Requirements:**
+ Clearance – Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation.
+ Citizenship – Must be a US Citizen.
+ Location – 2-3 days onsite in Ashburn, VA. All candidates must be within the GWA/commutable area. This team also has an on-call rotation which includes carrying the duty phone.
