As a key member of our high-performing Workstation team, you will work closely with the Mid-Market sales team to drive Lenovo’s Workstation business. The Mid-Market segment, defined by seat size across various verticals, presents unique opportunities in sectors like Media and Entertainment, where it accounts for a significant portion of the industry’s overall value—especially within creative studios. This role is crucial to our success, with the primary goal of expanding Lenovo’s Workstation business and driving profitable growth.
In this role, you will become an extended part of the Mid-Market sales team, working closely with our Workstation Technologists, Channel Sales Team, Marketing, and EMEA Product Management Teams. Reporting to the Workstation Leader, you will be responsible for communicating insights across MM verticals, identifying workstation market opportunities, prioritizing, and executing strategies that enhance Lenovo’s presence and market share within the Mid-Market segment.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Opportunity Development: Identify and prioritize growth opportunities within the Mid-Market customer base, with a focus on driving Workstation sales using workstation market trends.Competitive Analysis: Collaborate with the Workstation EMEA and local teams to gather insights and understand Lenovo’s competitive position and present this both inside Lenovo and to end users.Relationship Building: Establish and maintain trusted advisor relationships with both new and existing Mid-Market customers through both online interactions and in-person visits. Work with management to determine the best routes to market and secure the necessary support to drive sales.Go-To-Market Strategy: Develop and implement the Go-To-Market strategy with the sales team, including plans for MM expansion.Marketing Alignment: Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure the right marketing mix is in place for the Mid-Market segment.Sales Support: Provide ongoing support to the Mid-Market team for workstation opportunities and drive end-to-end discussion with strategic customers.Inside Sales Coordination: Ensure all Lenovo sales teams are kept up to date on products, promotions, incentives, and key priorities within the sales cycle. Create materials and resources to enhance the MM sales community’s understanding and capability in selling Lenovo’s Workstations.Position Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Business Development or Sales within the IT industry, preferably with a focus on PC or workstation products.Proven track record in sales of volume and value IT products, with experience in driving growth in the Mid-Market or end user segment.Building and executing business plans. Proactively review accounts, historical spend, identify whitespace opportunities, returning business, and mapping solutions to verticalized customers.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong customer presentation abilities both in-person and online.Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a matrixed environment and align people towards common goals. Customer-centric approach, and the ability to influence decision-making.working collaboratively with the Mid-Market team, joining their forecasting and sales meetingsUse Lenovo’s sales tools and processes (e.g., bid portal, CTO tools, CRM) to streamline business operations.
