Mid-Level Software Developer

Rite-Solutions is seeking a Mid-Level Software Developer will be part of a team of experts charged with providing Information Technology Support Services to the U.S. Navy, Foreign Navies, Coalition Forces, Multi-National and Multi-Agency Naval and DoD sponsors. The work is located on-site at NSWC Dahlgren, VA. \n

Position Responsibilities\n\nDevelop integration procedures and support integration. \nDevelop software programs model in AFSIM. \nDevelop\/modify software requirements specifications to existing programs requirements for new\/modified capabilities. \nSoftware design and code is subject to formal inspection led by the government prior to testing. \nDocument impacts of Hardware changes \nDocument test plans and procedures in developer test descriptions. \nGenerate and debug assigned software code elements. \nGenerate and document preliminary design & detailed software design \nGenerate and implement unit level test procedures. \nGenerate and maintain development schedules consistent with the Government's master schedule. \nGenerate and perform capability test procedures to verify complete functional coverage of all new\/modified code. \nGenerate procedures and scripts and perform automated testing. \nInvestigate defects in all phases of testing and integration. \nMaintain and develop software based on problem reports provided\u202fand monitor and evaluate software performance \nParticipate in all design and code reviews. \nParticipate in semi-annual meetings with Operational Forces to ensure priority issues are being addressed. \nPerform software element integration test prior to release of the software. \nPrepare and submit a correction package for all assigned defects, anomalies, and enhancements. The correction package shall define proposed code changes and test plans. Upon approval and completion of the correction, the Contractor shall assist in documenting the results of the testing. \nProvide artifacts to develop and maintain risk management framework package, develop and execute security test plans and procedures, and facilitate accreditation decision from the appropriate approval authority \nProvide technical input for all required reviews and provide updates for software user manuals. \nReview and provide comments on Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs). \nReview System\/Software Problem Reports (SPRs) and Issues for applicability and closure. \nReview Proposed Software Support Activity (SSA) SPR fixes and provide comment\/technical guidance. \nReview software CDRLs \nUpdate software requirements if required to implement change. \nUse government tools to maintain software CM. \n\n

Required Qualifications\/Skills:\n\nU.S. Citizenship and Interim or Active DoD SECRET clearance\nComputer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics \nSoftware coding in C++ in a Linux environment \n\n

Desired Skills\/Qualifications:\n\nExperience working on custom development software projects. \nExperience working with DoD customers.\n\n
