The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Project Management Specialist to support the B1-B Lancer, Line Ready Unit (LRU), Sustainment and Test teams in Heath, OH.
This position requires experience collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to successfully deliver against Program commitments and priorities. Creating and leading effective project management processes and detailed planning and communication skills are essential.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Project Management Specialist that understands the importance of collaboration and is able to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced customer environment.
Position Responsibilities:
Performs project management duties (i.e. planning, baseline management, risk management, stakeholder coordination, reporting, and U.S. Government Communication) for delivery against Contractual Statement of Work (SOW) and Performance Work Statement (PWS)Monitors project execution and prioritized projects based on Program commitmentsCommunicates openly and effectively with other roles and skill sets to address any issues, concerns or roadblocks as well as identifying opportunities for efficiency and improvementIdentifies and tracks risks and mitigation plan for key program initiativesPresents progress to plan to Boeing LeadershipLiaises with the Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and other Boeing teams for timely communications, updates for action items and follow through on commitments to ensure seamless delivery of projectsCollaborates with internal finance team to monitor actual cost incurred against released budget and support reporting requirementsEngages with the Boeing customer/suppliers to provide updates and status as required and identify dependenciesCollaborate with appropriate team members to support applicable LRU Repair, Testing and Deliveries in support of all Contractual RequirementsBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher3+ years’ experience in Program/ Project ManagementWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project)3+ years’ experience working with Program Management Best Practices (PMBPs)Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Project Management Professional designation (PMP) or equivalentExperience in Aerospace DefenseExperience in manufacturingWork Location:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
