Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level (Level 3) or Experienced (Level 4) Procurement Agent to join our Air Dominance Proprietary 1 Supply Chain team in Berkeley, Missouri.

The successful candidate will be part of a high-performing, cross-functional team focused on building next generation, state-of-the-art capability while also working to integrate program, customer and product, strategies into the procurement process, in an effort to drive successful execution of the Program.

The individual will support supply chain strategy development while working to understand the inter-relationships between subcomponents of systems and plans as well as their overall impact on the Supply Chain and Program. Collaboration with Engineering, Finance, and other Program personnel will be required to support strategic initiatives, mitigate risk, identify process improvements, and engage in many other innovative activities in support of the Program.

Position Responsibilities - Mid-Level 3:

Integrates program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategiesNegotiates pricing and contract terms and conditionsPrepares and executes negotiated contractual documents and binding agreementsConducts risk, issues and opportunities managementManages supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performanceInitiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies

Position Responsibilities - Experienced Level 4:

Provides oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performanceLeads negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditionsPrepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreementsInterprets and enforces contract terms and conditionsConsults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issuesLeads supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commoditiesParticipates on supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

More than 3 years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier managementMore than 3 years of experience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontractsMore than 3 years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s degree or higherMore than 5 years of experience in Supplier Management/ Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or BuyerMore than 5 years of experience working with U.S. Department of Defense contracts

Typical Education/Experience:

Mid-Level 3: Typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Experienced Level 4: Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for Mid-Level 3: $74,800 - $92,400

Summary pay range for Experience Level 4: $95,200 - $117,600
