The Sales and Service Technology team is a forward leaning development organization that leverages Agile development methodologies.  We are looking for a Sr Specialist (mid-level), Software Application Engineer responsible for implementing unique solutions that support our business within a highly distributed .NET application infrastructure with a focus on micro front-end/services architecture.  The position will be responsible for implementation, testing, and support of assigned applications and application components within the Sales and Service Technology portfolio.

 

In this role, you will:

Work with agile team members while building and maintaining a highly distributed .NET application Interact with business stakeholders and technology counterparts across many areas within SchwabImplement robust, fault-tolerant software that meets functional requirements and has 24x7x365 availabilityProvide expertise in web-based, distributed, and cloud-based computing application development What you have

 

Required qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and/or equivalent experience2-4 years of experience in software development using Object Oriented Programming using C#, Java, and front-end web development with Angular1+ year(s) of experience building REST services ASP.NET Web APIStrong knowledge of web architecture/design and web best practices

Preferred qualifications:

Familiarity with GIT based source controlFamiliarity with Jira and Confluence systemsWorking knowledge of the Agile/Scrum development methodologyDemonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and problem-solving skillsHighly organized and driven by nature
