Job purpose
You will be responsible for the design of mechanical product, for high volume manufacturing, high quality and harsh environment, of electric drive products (iDM – integrated Drive Module). Your tasks will consist of developing CAD models and drawings based on mechanical engineer requirements, performing drawing verification of your design, and supporting Manufacturing and Test fixture and gages development.
Key responsibilities
Create and update 3D parts, assemblies, and drawings (NX)Deploy 3D/2D standards within the team and provide support to ensure complianceCreate and manage BOMsSupport mechanical verification activities, tolerance stack-up analysis, and related documentationDeploy and support PLM processes within the team (Teamcenter)Deploy and support change management processes within the teamDeploy and support configuration management processes within the teamCommunicate and present results of engineering activitiesAdminister the local PLM system (Teamcenter)What we are looking for
Mechanical design in a high volume, quality sensitive, manufacturing organizationExperience with driveline components (gears, shafts, casings, bearings, lubrication, etc.)University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experienceGood Mechanical Engineering background in gearbox and electric motor designNX and TeamCenter knowledge or equivalent experiencePC Literate, Word, Excel and PowerPointPrevious design experience in gearbox or electric motor3D Modelling experience is required preferably NXUnderstanding of the relationships between manufacturing processes materials and components designs for metal and die cast partsDesign experience in a cost competitive automotive environment with particular focus on stringent Sealing, thermal and vibration conditions.Knowledge and understanding of ISO GPS or GD&T principles and their applicationCustomer focused and the ability to work in a team environmentOral and written communication skillsPC Literate: MS Office, CAD programsFluency in English is required.Preferred requirements
Master’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering work experience.Spezialization in CAD/PLM systemsExperience and/or training in APQP.Experience and/or training in DFM/DFA.Self-directed/self-motivated.Excellent drive for results with the ability to coordinate projects from start to completion.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.What we offer
