**The Opportunity**
This position works out of our Alajuela, Zona Franca Coyol location in the Electrophysiology. In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
As the Microbiology Technician I, you’ll have the chance to perform daily duties of the microbiology laboratory and tests required to monitor the production area environment. The individual will be responsible for carrying out assigned tasks, which could include laboratory experiments and testing of raw material and processes as per routine documented procedures and to perform the tasks for maintenance of the microbiology laboratory.
**What You’ll Do**
+ Support the Microbiology Laboratory activities.
+ Perform Test Procedures and Environmental Monitoring.
+ Validation and Calibration.
+ Documentation.
**Required Qualifications**
+ High School Degree required.
+ Basic English Level.
+ 0-2 years of experience.
+ Basic use of MS Office software.
+ **Shift A.**
+ **Onsite position.**
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Laboratory assistant diploma or studies in microbiology, biology or biotechnology fields is a plus.
+ Medical Devices Laboratory Training.
+ Prior medical device experience.
+ Knowledge of basic laboratory equipment such as pH meter, analytical balance, incubator/refrigeration, autoclave, etc.
