Microbiology Supervisor Location: Bowling Green Industry: Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics, OTC, and Disinfectants Type :Full-Time | Leadership Role About the Role Are you a microbiology maestro with a passion for precision and compliance? Step into a leadership role where science meets strategy. As our Microbiology Supervisor, you’ll lead the charge in ensuring our products—from OTC drugs to EPA-registered disinfectants—meet the highest microbiological standards. You’ll be the go-to expert for testing, monitoring, and method development, all while keeping our lab audit-ready and ahead of regulatory trends. What You’ll Be Doing + Lead USP microbiological testing across a diverse product portfolio. + Set action and alert limits for microbial monitoring in line with FDA guidance. + Oversee environmental monitoring to ensure facility cleanliness and compliance. + Investigate Out-of-Spec results and deviations with root cause analysis and corrective actions. + Support internal and external audits with confidence and clarity. + Validate and verify microbiological methods and implement new technologies. + Conduct preservative efficacy and antimicrobial effectiveness testing. + Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready lab environment. + Manage lab inventory, equipment maintenance, and daily operations. + Apply aseptic techniques and monitor for contamination sources. + Write, review, and revise SOPs to keep documentation sharp and compliant. + Stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory updates. What You Bring to the Table + Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related field (Advanced degree preferred). + 5–10 years in QC Microbiology within regulated industries. + 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting. + Expertise in aseptic technique, microbial enumeration, and identification. + Deep understanding of FDA, EPA, and USP standards. + Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. + Excellent communication and leadership abilities. + Proven track record in method validation and contamination control. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr. PTO, Holiday, Vacation time, Medical, Dental, Vision Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Bowling Green,OH.
