Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Microbiology Tech III to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of laboratory tasks, including media preparation, equipment maintenance, and environmental sample testing. This position offers the potential for long-term employment, with the possibility of transitioning into a full-time role.
Responsibilities
Prepare media for microbiological testing.Conduct audits on laboratory equipment.Perform preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment.Sterilize laboratory equipment and glassware using autoclaves.Test environmental samples, including swab and water samples.Test samples of powders, liquids, and raw ingredients.Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related science field with relevant microbiology experience.Excellent communication and writing skills.Preferred one year of experience in a microbiology laboratory or relevant lab experience.Experience with plating techniques.Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Additional Skills & Qualifications
Micro research experience is a plus.Recent graduates with lab experience are encouraged to apply.A Master's degree will not be considered overqualified.Work Environment
The position is based at our Easton facility with working hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Occasional travel to the downtown Columbus manufacturing facility is required for sample collection and testing. The role involves working in a laboratory setting with standard laboratory equipment and procedures.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
