Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Microbiology Lab Technician to join our team and perform essential tasks that support the Microbiology department. This role involves conducting Bioburden testing on medical device products, preparing media, and sterilizing samples using aseptic techniques. The technician will be responsible for recognizing equipment malfunctions and performing preventative maintenance and laboratory housekeeping.
ResponsibilitiesConduct Bioburden testing on medical device products.Prepare and sterilize media using aseptic techniques.Recognize and troubleshoot malfunctions in laboratory equipment.Perform simple equipment repairs as needed.Conduct preventative maintenance and maintain laboratory housekeeping.Follow procedures related to data documentation, laboratory safety, and good laboratory practices.Train on USP 61 and USP 62, with potential training on LAL testing and other microbiology techniques.Additional Skills & Qualifications1-2 years of experience in Microbiology (academic or industry).Bachelor's Degree in Biology or Microbiology.Minimum 6 months of experience with aseptic techniques and Bioburden testing.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
