Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Microbial Quality Control Specialist to support microbiological testing and laboratory operations in a GMP-regulated environment. This role is critical to ensuring the quality and safety of pharmaceutical products through sterility, endotoxin, and bioburden testing, as well as general lab support and data review.
Key Responsibilities
Perform endotoxin and bioburden testing using standard microbiological methods (e.g., membrane filtration, LAL)Conduct sterility testing and support microbial challenge recovery of drug substances and raw materialsPrepare microbial cultures for validation protocols, developmental studies, and growth promotion testingPerform growth promotion, mold spore suspension, and water activity testingRead and interpret microbial plates and document results accuratelyMaintain lab cleanliness and organization, including cold room 5S, stocking supplies, and general housekeepingReview and verify data for accuracy and compliance with cGMP standardsUtilize LIMS and electronic laboratory notebooks for data entry and trackingQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related scientific field1–2 years of relevant experience in a Quality Control Microbiology or similar laboratory settingHands-on experience with:Bioburden testing (membrane filtration)Endotoxin testing (LAL)Sterility testing (preferred)Aseptic techniques and microbial culture preparationFamiliarity with cGMP guidelines and regulatory complianceProficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong understanding of experimental design, data interpretation, and scientific methodologyAuthorized to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorshipAdditional InformationWhat to Expect in the Hiring Process:
