The MHE Training Specialist plays a critical role in advancing the technical capabilities of our workforce by delivering high-impact training programs focused on material handling operations. This position supports our manufacturing facilities in Casa Grande, AZ, and collaborates cross-functionally to assess training needs, develop curriculum, and ensure the safe and efficient use of MHE equipment.
You Will:
· Design and facilitate both classroom-based and hands-on training sessions on the production floor.
· Set up, operate, maintain, and repair MHE training equipment, including sit-down forklifts, stand-up lifts, cherry pickers, and tow dollies.
· Develop and implement MHE training strategies and programs aligned with operational goals.
· Maintain and update training content within the Learning Management System (LMS).
· Generate reports on training effectiveness and participation metrics.
· Coordinate onboarding technical training for new hires in manufacturing roles.
· Schedule and deliver MHE training sessions for existing staff based on departmental requests.
· Collaborate with manufacturing and facilities leadership to identify training gaps and drive continuous improvement.
· Provide on-the-floor coaching and support to address downtime and process inefficiencies.
· Participate in the development of new training materials to ensure relevance and compliance.
· Travel to other company facilities and supplier locations as needed.
· Perform additional duties as assigned.
You Bring:
· Associate’s degree in manufacturing or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience operating, maintaining, and repairing MHE equipment.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Demonstrated willingness to learn and take initiative.
Preferred Skills
· Experience in adult education and familiarity with adult learning principles.
· In-depth knowledge of MHE systems and material handling processes.
· Understanding of regulatory safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), NFPA 70E, Confined Space Entry, and Fall Protection.
· Proficiency in modern training tools and techniques.
· Ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
· Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
· Advanced problem-solving skills related to manufacturing systems and processes.
