 As a Manager of Technology Product and Solutions within Starbucks’ Data and Analytics Organization, you will lead a team dedicated to building innovative data products that unlock actionable insights and drive strategic decision-making across the company. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to understand their data needs, orchestrate the ingestion of data from source systems into Starbucks’ enterprise data lake, and ensure that data access, metadata, and quality align with enterprise standards. Success in this role requires strong leadership, the ability to influence and partner effectively across teams, and a commitment to delivering business value. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and empowering your team—fostering a high-performing, customer-focused culture that consistently delivers exceptional results. 

 

As a mgr technology product and solutions, you will… 

Lead a team of data analysts to collect data from various sources and ingest into data lake ensuring accuracy and integrity  Implement analytical solutions to address specific business outcomes to enable data-driven decision making  Design and build technical processes to address business needs and increase operational efficiency and time to insights for the organization  Continuously curate data products to align with the evolving needs of the business, collaborating closely with Architecture, Engineering, and Security teams to ensure scalability, while optimizing for low storage and compute costs 

 

We’d love to hear from people with: 

10+ years of relevant experience   5+ years leading teams and projects  Experience with cloud tech for data and analytics solutions (Azure, AWS)   Proficiency in SQL and relational databases   Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities   Strong knowledge and demonstrated application of all facets of systems development lifecycle and technology operations.   Collaboratively and objectively assesses benefits, costs, and viability of proposed solution options and drives alignment across a diverse group of stakeholders.   Working knowledge of Agile SCRUM solution design/development methodology and practices.   Ability to leverage business knowledge, sound judgment, and resourcefulness to determine appropriate course of action in challenging, ambiguous situations.   Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to engage with and present ideas to senior leadership.   Provides key input to facilitate decision-making process.  Familiarity with data governance, lineage, data management and quality best practices is preferred.    Experience with BI Tools (Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy) and Databricks is a plus.

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above.  For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.  At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
