Job Description
Develops and implements a quality control inspection program that will ensure conformity of products to both USDA and customer standards.Revises and updates quality control manual and training tools for use in warehouse.Develops and maintains a supplier quality index to ensure that only high quality vendors are retained.Meets with vendors, customers, quality representatives and GS employees to discuss and resolve quality issues as needed.Prepares for and represents the company during all audits and inspections as required. Includes HAACP)Prepares reports related to quality inspections, vendor trends, shrink, etc. as requested.Manages a staff of 4-5 employees.Must be comfortable working with on-site USDA representative.Additional duties as assigned.Required Experience:
Minimum 5-8 years related quality control management experience within a fresh foods distribution environment.
