Job Summary
The Infection Preventionist plays a key role in protecting patients, staff, and visitors by leading infection prevention efforts across the health system. This includes conducting surveillance, analyzing infection trends, driving regulatory compliance, and educating staff on best practices. The role ensures all standards meet or exceed guidelines set by The Joint Commission (TJC), OSHA, CMS, CDC, and other regulatory bodies.

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, or related field required Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred 3–5 years of infection prevention experience required 1–3 years of leadership or management experience preferredCertifications
Required: Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CBIC) within 2 years of hire.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
In-depth knowledge of infection prevention principles, epidemiology, and healthcare regulations. Strong analytical skills to evaluate infection data, identify trends, and implement improvements. Effective communication and presentation skills for educating staff and engaging stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities, including surveillance, compliance, and staff education. Leadership and team management skills to foster collaboration and accountability.What We Offer
