Overall operations team and facility responsibility for the following: Electrified Powertrain Integration Center (EPIC), Powertrain Fuel Systems Labs (PFSL), Driveability Test Facility (DTF), DDC Wind Tunnel 5 (WT5), and Rolling Road (RRWT), Enhanced Laboratory Management System (ELMS). **In this position...** **Overall operations and facility responsibility for the following facilities/labs: Electrified Powertrain Integration Center (EPIC), Powertrain Fuel Systems Labs (PFSL), Driveability Test Facility (DTF), DDC Wind Tunnel 5 (WT5), and Rolling Road (RRWT), Enhanced Laboratory Management System (ELMS)** + Global VEV Lead for establishing EV battery testing equipment system specifications (requirements); and related lab personnel High Voltage testing safety equipment and procedures + Manage facility operations (24x7), test capability and capacity to meet customer demand and expectations with given budget and resource constraints + Leverage technical knowledge of facility infrastructure, equipment, test systems to strengthen its integration + Lead the development and implementation of infrastructure/facility-based efficiency actions + Develop / manage the non-product capital investment forecast and spending to meet product needs, implement automation, and incorporate game-changing technologies + Lead engineering actions necessary to ensure facility compliance with evolving corporate and global government regulatory requirements + Lead the team responsible for developing and maintaining laboratory management tools, with a focus on globalizing and standardizing these tools to the greatest extent possible. **Strategic Planning and DV Efficiency** + Lead global EV team with a focus on delivering the required expanded testing facility capabilities to enable the EV Vertical Integration corporate insourcing strategy + Develop and align "lab of the future" capital expenditures to long-term powertrain technology and regulatory strategy + Co-lead the development and implementation of the Global DV Efficiency teams, including delivering road-to-lab-and CAE initiatives + Deliver Modernization strategy for developing/implementing new tools, procedures, test execution quality improvement, full-scale test automation and artificial intelligence decision making + Leverage Critical Strategic Test Partners, Suppliers, and Asset Management strategies + Update the next generation of lab management tools to enhance management capabilities, facilitate metrics generation, improve planning and scheduling, and integrate Ford databases for seamless connectivity. **What you'll do...** **Plan and deliver development and verification for North American Lead Vehicle Engineering Activity and select Global Programs, including regional requirements** + Work seamlessly with Program Teams and D&R functional groups to deliver high quality test data in support of robust product development + Ensure technical (test) alignment with all Corporate, State, and Federal Regulations + Maintain relationships with Ford Land, IT, Purchasing and Finance to ensure Operations meet cost, quality, and timing objectives + Ensure all facility safeguards and safe operating practices are adhered to protect the Health and Safety of all employees and visitors **Financial and Operations Management** Manage a multi-million dollar operating budget for: + EPIC/PFSL (Department T629) + Wind Tunnels (Department T625) + ELMS – (Department T655) + Manage a five-year Capital Investment plan for the lab groups: WTs, EPIC/PFSL + Implement HV Battery Vertical Integration with completion of Non- Destructive Battery Testing renovation. Completion expected 3Q25. (90% complete) + Manage 151 personnel (89 base employees, 62 purchase services) across multiple facilities and operating shifts + Develop optimized business models for utilization, consolidation, and integration + Manage resources including staffing, funding, training, and career development + Establish Facility policy/practices and process disciplines that deliver department objectives, commitments to customers, & continuous operations improvement + Maintain strong relationships through leadership and partnership experience with Ford Land, IT, Health-Safety-Environmental, and Purchasing/Finance activities **You'll have...** + Bachelors of Engineering required. + Minimum of 8 years of experience, including minimum of 3 years leading teams of over 15 employees. + Broad facility / laboratory Operations / Engineering / Test experience. + Experience working with key partners in Powertrain (ICE & BEV), Vehicle Engineering, Climate, and Research & Advanced. + Deep understanding of facility infrastructure complexity and regulatory / policy compliance. + Strong understanding of key program milestones and ability to meet aggressive timing plans. + Prior capital investment project management experience. + Engineering, business, and commercial/construction experience. + Strong oral and written skills for presentations to Senior Management. + Strong experience working with vendors / suppliers for facilities and equipment. + Operational experience with key company support functions: Finance, IT, Purchasing, Ford Land. + Facility management experience necessary to improve quality, safety and sustainability. **Even better, you may have...** + Masters of Engineering or Business preferred. + Global testing knowledge and partnership experience to rationalize facility footprint (hardware, test operating systems, maintenance contracts, calibration). + Test operation process experience: capability, capacity, forecasting, test article prep, scheduling, program milestone delivery, staffing, facility support, and related crises management. + Experience in developing/sustaining/publishing all critical lab/facility operating metrics. + Experience managing and developing a diverse and inclusive (test organization) team.
