Pay: $47.57 - $76.11 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

The Employee Relations Manager (ERM) plays a critical role in ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of employees while upholding the organization's mission to provide quality care to patients. This position requires regular on-site presence to effectively fulfill its responsibilities.
Key responsibilities of an ERM are:
+ Collaborates with key internal stakeholders, leaders, staff, HR colleagues, HR compliance & HR Business Partners.
+ Conducts on-site assessments of workplace complaints and investigates as a neutral subject matter expert to recommend how conflicts can be promptly and effectively addressed.
+ Addresses communication breakdowns through direct interventions and promotes transparency between management and employees. Facilitates face to face conversations and meetings to investigate and promote resolutions.
+ Provides guidance to HRBPs and leadership on I-Line complaints and other employee relations issues on next steps and actions.
+ Working with HR compliance, ensures adherence to numerous regulations and standards related to labor laws and ensures that practices comply with regulations, and UCHealth policies to mitigating legal risks for the organization.
+ Receives and addresses concerns promptly including, but not limited, to I-Line complaints, investigations, appeals, and mediation working towards satisfactory resolutions that align with organizational policies and values (mutual respect, harassment, anti-bullying, just culture, unconscious bias, and being an upstander).
+ Ensures confidentiality to the greatest degree relevant in handling employee-related issues and maintains appropriate on-site documentation and records in compliance with privacy regulations.
+ Builds relationships with HRBPs and key internal stakeholders through regular in-person interactions and meetings.
The ERM should possess a blend of education, skills, and experience that equips them to navigate the unique challenges and complexities of the healthcare industry.
+ Possess a strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and legal regulations
+ Bachelor's degree
+ 5 years of related experience (preferably experience working in the healthcare sector)
+ Ability to organize and prioritize workload to effectively meet the needs of the department and the organization
+ Demonstrated experience in managing employee relations issues, such as conflict resolution, mediation, coaching, disciplinary actions, and complex investigations
+ Experience conducting investigations and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations related to employment practices is essential.
+ Regular travel between facilities is necessary to conduct face-to-face meetings with staff and leadership
+ Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial for effectively interacting with employees and stakeholders.
+ The ability to convey complex information in a concise, impartial, and professional manner to resolve conflicts and address employee concerns.
+ Strong communication skills to effectively facilitate difficult conversations and mediate conflicts in real-time
+ Integrity, discretion, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality are essential. ERMs should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make fair and equitable decisions in high-pressure situations.
+ Ability to respond quickly to on-site emergent employee relations matters requiring immediate attention
