NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution is responsible for the licensing and distribution of NBCUniversal product to all forms of television and streaming platforms in the U.S., Canada and in over 200 territories internationally. NBCUniversal’s content portfolio includes a vast and diverse library of more than 6,500 feature films and 170,000 television episodes, including current and classic titles, non-scripted programming, kids, sports, news, long-form and short-form programming from Universal Pictures, Focus Features, Universal Television, UCP, Universal International Studios, Sky Studios, Universal Television Alternative Studio, NBC Late Night properties, DreamWorks Animation, Telemundo, Universal Pictures Content Group, as well as locally produced content from around the world, and more. Global TV Distribution is a division of Comcast NBCUniversal.

Overview:

The Metadata & Artwork Servicing Manager will be responsible for servicing TV & Film Metadata and Artwork to a select group of worldwide Electronic-Sell Through, Video-On-Demand, Premium Video-On-Demand, and Subscription on Demand clients who license product from NBCUniversal. This position will oversee the team responsible for aggregating and delivering Metadata & Artwork assets in accordance with contractual terms.

Responsibilities

Manage a small, diverse team responsible for aggregating, localizing, and conforming our descriptive title Metadata & Artwork assets from various internal/external sources, ensure all necessary deliverables are sourced, formatted, and delivered to Clients correctly and on time per established workflowsEnsure deliverables are created and tracked in a timely manner, manage multiple projects and concurrent due dates using Microsoft Office 365 and other cloud-based toolsResearch descriptive and technical metadata (English and localized languages) and import into a proprietary database for which training will be providedWork with the larger team to maintain databases, schedules, and status reports, and assist with Metadata and Artwork fulfilment as needed; provide training and onboarding to othersProofread Metadata, export for delivery in Excel spreadsheets, XML, or any format required to meet client specs for publishing onlineCollaborate and foster good working relationships with Sales, Sales Administration, Legal, Marketing, Publicity, Translation Services and outside Post-Production and Dubbing facilities to ensure that all necessary materials are properly created and provided for the EST/VOD/PVOD/SOD marketsReview contractual terms to determine their impact on Operations, advise Sales and Business leads, and ensure license agreements are properly approved before the delivery of Metadata & ArtworkCollaborate with all teams responsible for distribution of Film & TV product to Clients to optimize workflows; ensure overlapping processes are in sync across the departmentCollaborate closely with the Product Data and Materials Servicing teams to deliver high volumes of accurate, detailed digital information for on-time launch; troubleshoot publishing issues with urgencyUtilize Client portals for the purpose of tracking materials and problem-solvingCollaborate with multiple Technology teams to continually improve our proprietary Metadata Servicing software and innovate new featuresImprove, establish & implement processes and policies to increase efficiency and productivity through automationQuickly investigate and resolve Metadata & Artwork queries/rejections, keeping clients and colleagues informed throughout and communicating with cross-functional teams as needed to mitigate impactAttend industry meetings and conferences to expand knowledge of Content Distribution Business and become a Subject Matter ExpertPerform other related duties as requested by management

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor’s or associate degree or higher4+ years experience in digital distribution operations (preferably with EST/VOD/SVOD clients i.e., Amazon, Google), or related fields (i.e., Post-Production, Digital Archives and Asset Management, Media Operations, Project Management, Database Management, Library Sciences)Advanced Knowledge with Excel, including Macros (VBA), Databases, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and other Advanced Formulas

Desired Characteristics:

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary range: $75,000 - $100,000 (Bonus eligible).
