A Typical Day
The Manager of Trailing Document Resolution is responsible for overseeing the procurement and delivery of trailing collateral documents and the resolution of trailing collateral document deficiencies related to mortgage loans sold to various institutional investors within the deadlines prescribed in the applicable investor’s purchase and sale agreement.
The Manager of Trailing Document Resolution will:
+ Oversee the end-to-end process of trailing document tracking, and delivery (e.g., recorded mortgages/deeds of trust, final title policies, POAs, assignment of mortgages)
+ Implement and maintain robust tracking systems to monitor the status of all outstanding trailing documents
+ Collaborate with internal departments, origination channels and external partners (e.g., title companies, county recorders, vendors) to expedite document procurement
+ Oversee the research, and resolution of all trailing document exceptions and deficiencies identified by document custodians and investors
+ Manage communication with custodians and investors regarding document deficiencies, resolution progress and delivery
+ Assist in clearing any critical collateral document deficiencies that are required to be resolved prior to the settlement of the whole loan sale to the investor
What You’ll Bring
+ Bachelor's degree preferred
+ 3+ years of progressive experience in mortgage post-closing, with a strong emphasis on trailing document management and investor relations
+ In-depth understanding of the mortgage loan lifecycle, post-closing processes and Agency investor delivery requirements
+ Proficiency in document management systems. Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly Excel for data analysis
+ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail. Ability to identify complex issues and develop effective solutions
+ Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:
+ Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role
+ Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role
+ Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role
Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
